Double services were held March 24, 1981 for a mother and her son.
Ruby Dorline Ginter, 62, was born in rural St. Clair County, Mo., Aug. 14, 1918, to James Dorrell and Beulah Breeden Dorrell.
Mrs. Ginter passed away March 16 at Sac-Osage Hospital after being told of her son’s death.
She was united in marriage to Aubrey Ginter Nov. 28, 1935. They lived in Stockton, Calif., 30 years before moving to Peculiar in 1967, then to Collins in 1974. To this union three sons and two daughters were born.
Mrs. Ginter was a member of the Osceola Community Church.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd A. Ginter of the Collins home and Lowell R. Ginter, Greeley, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Leta I. Taber, Harrisonville, and Mrs. Laurel E. Barlow, Westminster, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Edith A. Allen, Osceola; two brothers, Leo. R. Dorrell, Harrisonville, and Carl E. Dorrell, Stockton, Ca.; one half-brother, David Goforth, Hayward, Ca.; one sister, Mrs. Rosezanna M. Rains, Wentworth, Mo.; one half-sister, Mrs. Barbara Tarvin, Claremore, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Ginter’s son, Capt. Loren Otis Ginter, 28, Shemya Air Force Station, Alaska, was killed March 15, in a crash of an Air Force training plane at Shemya.
He was born in Stockton, Calif., to Aubrey and Ruby Ginter, Nov. 8, 1952. He was a graduate from the University of Mo. – Rolla in 1977.
He married Gabriele Marita Drossel Aug. 15, 1976, at the Lowry Air Force Base, in Colorado. Capt. Loren and 2nd Lt. Gabriele Ginter had been stationed in Alaska since 1980.
Survivors are his wife, 2nd Lt. Gabrielle Ginter; two brothers, Lloyd A. Ginter and Lowell R. Ginter; two sisters, Leti I. Taber, and Laurel E. Barlow, and one half-sister, Edith Ginter Allen.
He was well liked by everyone who touched his life and will also be sadly missed by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and members of the Air Force.
The Rev. Jack Kiefer officiated at the services at the Goodrich Chapel March 24.
Music was by Jackson Kiefer, soloist and Beryl Kiefer, accompanist.
Casket bearers for Capt. Ginter were Tom Barlow, Doug Dorrell, Orville ginter, Bob Taber, Bobby Taber, Jr., and Bobby Thomas.
There was full military services for Capt. Loren Ginter at the graveside with 351st Strategic Missle Wing U.S. Air Force personnel as casketbearers.
Interment was in the Appleton City Cemetery for both the mother and her son.
