K.W. Farris, 84, of Ashland, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at
Boone Hospital Center.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Robinson Funeral
Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home.
Keith was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Iowa, the son of Walter Lynn Farris
and Lydia Wilson Farris. He married Jennie Munden on Nov. 6, 1948, in
Pocahontas, Ark., and she survives.
Keith and his family moved to Ashland from north Missouri in March of
1956 to start The Sentinel Industries.
He was a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge No. 156, Scottish Rite in
Columbia, and Moolah Shriners in Columbia.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Farris, of Ashland; two sons,
Daniel Farris and his wife, Renee, of New Bloomfield, and Melvin
Farris and his wife, Barbara, of Heber Springs, Ark.; one sister,
Dorothy Bratton of Excelsior Springs; four grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Maurice and
Cedric; and a brother-in-law, James Bratton.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes or
American Heart Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
