He lost his wife, Mrs. Emma Vickers, daughter of Josiah Woods and wife, while at Lowry, and after that he went to Kansas City, where he lived 15 years. He made his home with Oscar Vickers, the only remaining child of four given him and his wife, who gave his father tender, devoted care in his declining years. Mr. Vickers had four sisters, Mesdames P. S. Jennings, John L. Wood and R. A. Levy, all of whom preceded him in death, and Mrs. Nettie V. Baker, now in Casper, Wyo., who is in her 88th year. Mr. Vickers was an uncle of Dr. W. T. Jennings and Mrs. M. W. Barcafer of Clinton.
