JAMES T. JURGENSMEYER

James Thomas Jurgensmeyer was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Montrose, the
third
child of Ben and Rose Walthers Jurgensmeyer. He departed this life on
Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, at the
age of
78 years.
On Nov. 17, 1953, Jim was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Vogel and
to
this union 12 children were born.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; two brothers
George and Ralph; two children, Rose and Earl; and one grandson,
Nicholas.
He is survived by his children, Edward and his wife, Roxanne, David
and his
wife, Donna, Carl and his wife, Cathy and Gregory and his wife,
Phyllis,
all of Montrose, John and his wife, Brenda of Osceola, Ann and her
husband,
Mike Fellhoelter and Duane and his fiance, Denise, all of Deepwater,
Roy
and his wife, Bridget of Clinton, Janice and her husband, Don Teal of
Minnesota and Patricia and her husband, Barry McDowell of Colorado; 26
grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Irene Kaumans and
one
sister-in-law, Blanche Jurgensmeyer, both of Montrose.
Funeral mass was held Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church, Montrose, with Father Ed Oen and Father Chris Myers
officiating. Music was by the Immaculate Conception Adult Choir,
Aileene
Mayer, organist and Carol McEwan, vocalist. Readers were Roy
Jurgensmeyer
and Janice Jurgensmeyer. Giftbearers were Lindsey, Ashley and Brooke
Jurgensmeyer.
Casketbearers were Kendall Fellhoelter, Wesley Fellhoelter, Bryan
Jurgensmeyer, Cole Jurgensmeyer, Jerald Jurgensmeyer, Tyler
Jurgensmeyer
and Brandon Jurgensmeyer.
Burial with military honors by the Montrose VFW Post #8820, was held
in the
St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's
School.
