Iven R. Knight – A tired and gallant heart ceased beating and a great soul returned to its maker at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, December 21st, 1944.
Iven Robert Knight was born in Cass County, Missouri and grew to manhood in Weaubleau, Mo. He came to Osceola and established himself in business in 1902. He was married to Myrtle Andrews in 1905 and to this union were born seven children.
Mr. Knight has been a deacon of the Baptist church in Osceola for forty years and was one of those people who applied the Christian principles to his daily living. His devotion to his family has been the foundation of his life, but the love of mankind so filled his heart that it overflowed to a limitless circle of friends. The sincere kindliness of his nature drew young and old. To his children and grandchildren he leaves a heritage of beautiful memories which will enrich their lives thru all the coming years. A life so beautifully and lovingly lived does not cease but goes on to a greater glory.
He leaves his wife and seven children.
