IMOGENE E. DOAK

Imogene E. Doak, daughter of W. Estel and Effie Mae (Smith) Thomas,
was born August 22, 1910 in Hamden, Missouri. She departed this life
February 11, 2004 at Appleton City Manor Nursing Home in Appleton
City, Missouri at the age of 93 years. Imogene grew up in Greeley,
Colorado. She met her husband, Wilson, at a rodeo in Cheyenne,
Wyoming. They were united in marriage February 24, 1932 and to this
union two sons were born. In 1934 Imogene and Wilson moved back to
Missouri where they farmed until 1965. Imogene became a Methodist
minister’s wife in 1964 living and serving along with her husband in
Sedalia, Nevada, Springfield and Rockville, Missouri. In 1977 they
retired making their home in Appleton City, Missouri. Imogene was a
member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the United Methodist
Women’s group and P.E.O. Chapter CC all in Appleton City. She also
belonged to the Homemaker’s Club in Chilhowee, Missouri. Preceding her
in death were her parents, her husband Wilson Doak, and one son Thomas
Doak. Survivors include one son Wilson Faris Doak, Jr. and wife Pat of
Tacoma, Washington; daughter-in-law Della Doak of Appleton City,
Missouri; one brother Glen Thomas of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; one sister
Lucile McClung of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren
