HARRY SAMUEL ELLIOTT
Funeral services were held in the Goodrich Chapel, Monday afternoon at
2:00 p.m., August 26, 1963 for Harry Samuel Elliott, who died at his
home in Osceola, Missouri, August 23, 1963 at the age of 65 years, six
months and 12 days. Rev. Earl Traughber, pastor of the Osceola Church
Of The Brethren, officiated at the service and burial was made in the
Oak Grove Cemetery, Collins, Missouri. Roxie Martin, pianist, Mrs.
Gerald Winters, Wilma Hannah, Margaret Luckey sang "Over There",
"Beyond The Sunset", and "Going Down The Valley". Pallbearers were
Waldo Jones, Lester Peterie, R.C. Ellis, Clark Foster, Harold Burr and
John Ozbun. Mr. Elliott, son of Joseph Henry Elliott and Lidda Jane
(Burkhart) Elliott, was born at Vista, Missouri, February 11, 1898. On
November 16, 1929, he was married to Edith Rebecca Killingsworth. One
son, Dick Harry Elliott, was born to the couple. Mr. Elliott was
member of the Oak Grove Church Of The Brethren, West of Collins,
Missouri, and was a active member until his health failed. The
Elliott's lived on a farm in the Rainey community until July 19, 1960,
at which time they moved to Osceola, Missouri, to make their home.
