ARNEL AVIS WRIGHT

A. A. "Bud" Wright was born May 20, 1911, at Talley Bend, son of
Taylor and Catharine Cross Wright. He died December 4, 2001, at his
home. He was a member of Lowry City Baptist Church, VFW Post 1894 and
the American Legion.
He was a self-employed truck driver. He proudly served in the United
States Army during World War II. He married the former Marjorie Smith
at Osceola in 1993. He loved fishing with Marjorie. His illness
required
him to be homebound for the last six months and Marjorie lovingly
cared for him.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Edna, September 1964;
three sisters, Blanche Hoover, Helen Ruffenaucht and Eathel Caffey;
four brothers, Roy, Nat, Russel and Willard.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of the home; three sons, Arnold
Allen Wright, Port Aransas, Texas,
Newton T. Wright, Clinton, and Harold Wright and wife, Vickie,
Calhoun; one daughter, Phena (Penny)
Eickelberger, Clinton; two brothers, Dennis Wright and wife, Mary
Jane, Lawson, Dayton Wright and wife, Dora, Collins; one sister,
Czrena Shulse, Clinton; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren,
three great-great-grandchildren, plus stepchildren, step-grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held December 8 at Consalus Chapel-Clinton.
Burial was in Englewood Cemetery with military honors.
