ANNIE MARIE VAN ALLEN WILSON

Mrs. Wilson, widow of the late Dr. J. S. Wilson, who was a
brother of J. Y. and Thomas Wilson of Osceola, Mo., died at the home
of her brother, John Van Allen, about seven miles West of Deepwater,
Mo. on Jan. 22, 1923, after a lingering illness of several years.
Annie Marie Van Allen was born near Albany, N.Y., May 22, 1855. She
was married to Dr. J. S. Wilson in 1872 in Osceola, Mo. To this union
was born but one child which died in infancy. She united with the
Christian Church in early womanhood and at the time of her death was a
member at Deepwater, Mo. Dr. Wilson practiced medicine at Deepwater
for some twenty five years prior to his death, which occurred about
five years ago. She was the daughter of Judge Van Allen who was a
judge of St. Clair Co. some years ago.
Her funeral services were conducted by H. E. Carpenter, of the Osceola
Christian Church, at the home on Jan. 23 at 10 o'clock, after which
the remains were brought to Osceola and laid to rest by the side of
her husband. She leaves as immediate relatives an only brother, John
Van Allen, to mourn her loss, but a number of friends in the community
where she has lived and died.
