Albert (Buster) Edwin Blew, the son of Oden O. and Cora E. (Erhart)
Blew was born on September 8, 1913 in Montrose, Missouri. He passed
away at North Kansas City Hospital on June 8, 2002 at the age of 88
years. Nearly all of Mr. Blew’s life was spent in the Montrose,
Missouri area before moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1996, having
lived on the farm for 63 years. Buster worked for Peabody Coal Company
and was the co-owner of Blew Lumber Company in Montrose. He was
devoted to his family and a lifelong member of the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed his quarter horses, trail rides and
raising Angus cattle. Buster was a talented carpenter and wood
crafter, and made lots of wagon and truck beds for the farming
community. Buster was a member of the United Mine Workers, Montrose
Saddle Club, Lakelanders Camping Club, Montrose Cemetery Board and
United Presbyterian-Methodist Church. He was united in marriage to
Laura E. Hart on September 30, 1933 at the Cumberland Presbyterian
Church in Montrose, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents
and sister, Mary Elizabeth Jones. He is survived by his wife Laura of
the home, a daughter Jean Blew McHenry and her husband Jim, grandson
Brian and wife Susie and two great-granddaughters Natalie Ann and
Macie Ellen McHenry all of Kansas City, Missouri. Buster will be
greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
