Lowry Resident Dies Nov. 12
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 15, at two o'clock in the
Lowry City Methodist Church for Andy Anderson, who died Sunday, Nov.
12, at Veteran's hospital in Kansas City, where he had been a patient
for a month. His age at death was 69 years, five months and 17 days.
Rev. C. Fay Kessinger officiated at the service, and burial was made
in Lowry City Cemetery under the direction of Goodrich Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson, son of William and Sarah Ellen Anderson, was born May
26, 1898, at Bethany, Mo. His marriage to Myrtle Christine Ragan occurred
July 13, 1936. Four children were born to the couple.
Mr. Anderson had lived for the past 22 years in Lowry City working
at the carpenter trade. As a young man he had served in the United
States Naval Reserve Force, and had lived at Lee's Summit before moving
to Lowry City.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters.
Survivors his wife; two sons, Clarence Randolf and Robert William;
two daughters, Helen Mae and Janice Marie; three grandsons; five granddaughters;
four brothers and four sisters.
