We are having plenty of rain. The ground is so wet the wheat sowers are getting discouraged.

John Estes has some wheat sowed. He can say he is the first man on the Prairie that has.

The writer of these items wants to be excused for not writing the news last week. It has been a very busy time and on Sunday each one wants to visit to pass off the time.

Bert Todd has purchased a Ford. We trust he may be lucky with driving it.

The sale at George Hughler's was well attended and everything sold well. They left Wednesday for California where they will make their home in the future. They will be missed by all their neighbors as they were good people.

Stanton Terry spent Thursday night with his nephew, Ward Bishop and wife.

Rev. G.W. Wyatt and wife and son and mother spent last Thursday at the home of his sister, Mrs. J.M. Bishop and family. The day was well spent with music and singing and looking over the cemetery. In the evening they returned to Fair View where they are holding a meeting for a few nights.

Mrs. George Fields has moved to the home of the home of Mrs. Celia Blondon and Mr. Fields will go soon. He is winding up his business before he goes. Uncle Riley Bishop, the father of Mrs. Fields, has gone back to make his home with his daughter and family, Mrs. Jim Cauthon.

Mr. Bue was a caller at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cauthon last Friday evening.

There was quite a few of the farmers took cattle to Gerster last Saturday as it was shipping day.

Mr. and Mrs. Ihrig attended the sale Tuesday. They drove from Clinton Tuesday and report they found the roads very bad.

Miss Cora Hammell left last Sunday to begin her school west of Collins. She is missed in this community but we hope she has good success.

Edd Todd will start up his sorghum mill next week and will have plenty of cane to keep him busy for some time.

Miss Audra Todd was a visitor at the Kings Prairie School last Friday evening; and Miss Golda Bishop and mother Wyatt Thursday afternoon.

Flaive Crawford has just finished up a job of work for Mr. McBernard near Concord.

Ester Hammond spent part of last week with her aunt and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Greathouse.

Mrs. Nettie Hammond and two children spent Sunday and Sunday night at the home of her father.

Rev. Frank Harden filled his appointment Sunday and Sunday night.

The Sunday school was very well attended and the small class reports they had their same teacher again Sunday for the first time in almost three years, Mrs. Fannie Bishop. She had seven little fellows present and each one said they would bring some one else with them next Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Greathouse spent Sunday with Ward Bishop and wife.
