The Fair.
Our annual fair with its pleasures and disappointments has come
and gone. Happily the latter were few wile the former were all that we
could ask. The weather was propitious from the beginning to the close.
The display in the hog, horse, sheep and cattle departments was
superior to any before, while in the farm products and agricultural
machinery it was not so good as at former periods. To say that the
fair was a success hardly expresses it. The attendance was good from
day to day but Saturday eclipsed them all with a throng of five
thousand strong.
