Osceola, MO 23 November 1967 Mrs. Rose Kauffman was a dinner guest in the Clifford Kauffman home. Visitors in the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Long and family. Mr. Long is Clara Kauffman's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Parke spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Parke. Perry is some better but still in the hospital. Capitola Best visited in the same home. Jullian Quaintance visited in the Henry Nowell home Saturday evening. Other visitors were Rev. Jack Kiefer, Rev. Baur, Charley Parker, Capitola Best, Jewell Todd and Norma Raymond. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Gilbert visited in the Ira Todd home Sunday. Other visitors were Bill Smith, Lois Meredith and Debbie. Visitors in the Charley Parker home the pat week were Mr. and Mrs. Parker, Alton Parker, Frances Allen and Randy, Mr. and Mrs. Cloud, Mr. and Mrs. Warden Leiber, Nellie Quaintance, Dwight Quaintance, Annie Polston, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Parker and family of Kansas City. Mr. and Mrs. Vaun Myers were dinner guests in the Bill Miller home Sunday. Icle Gerster, Dimple Hodges and Maisie Nelson were in Clinton Saturday and also visited with Nellie Harden. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Cauthon and Capitola Best visited Nellie Harden in Clinton Sunday afternoon. Visitors in the Erie Polston home the past week were Tom Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Davis, Everett Ellerman, Bill Smith, Jay Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Parker, Icle Gerster, Elvin Meredith, Olivia Slocum, Vivian Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Wheeler, Mrs. Rose Renfro, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bird and children, Beulah Wyatt and Richard and Capitola Best. Mary Lou Long, Jane Drake and Mary Elly visited Vivian Douglas Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Maybell spent a few days at their home near Gerster. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Marshall visited with the Maybells Wednesday and Thursday. Jim Chapman entered Wetzel hospital for observation last Thursday. Friends wish him well. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Daugherty visited Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Moore last Wednesday. Mrs. Moore is much improved. Larry Wright visited Mrs. Gertie Wright last Thursday night and Friday. Mrs. Edna Hammond spent Friday with her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Gurley, and called on Mrs. August Johnson in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Johnson and children took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. August Johnson Saturday, Nov. 11. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnson and Cindy spent the weekend there. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cone visited with Mrs. Ruth Estes in Osceola Sunday, Nov. 12. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Haverland called on Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cone Sunday night, Nov. 12. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gurley called on Lillian Hammond Sunday evening. Mrs. Bertha McGee visited Lillian Hammond one day last week. Mrs. Mary Morelock took dinner Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jr. Wilcox and children. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cone called on Mr. and Mrs. Jake Carl Sunday evening. They took supper with Mr. and Mrs. August Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cone visited in Osceola Sunday with Mrs. Ruth Estes. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Haverland called in the Lee Cone home Sunday night. Friends and neighbors extend sympathy to the Wally Kalberloh family in the death of his daughter who passed away. Ernestine Fugate was a native Lowry Citian but lived in Kansas City. Friends and neighbors extend sympathy to the Sheets and Conrad family in the death in their family. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Raynes and sons spent November 11 and 12 in the Wm. Schmidli home. Mrs. Ruth Kalberloh was hostess to the W.P.F.A. Club Tuesday, November 14, with 8 members. Mrs. Emma Kalberloh and Mrs. Nettie Haverland were guests. The club made cancer bandages. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Haverland of Montrose, Colo., were recent visitors of his cousins, Mrs. Emma Kalberloh, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Haverland, Mrs. John Haverland and families and Mrs. Elva Haverland. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Neuenschwander, Cindy and Sarah spent from Sunday thru Tuesday in St. Louis. Mr. Neuenschwander was attending a Production Credit Assn. meeting. Don and Lydia Hilty returned to the United States the last week in October. They enjoyed 10 days visit in the Phillipines, her native country. They are now stationed in Denver. They visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilty before going to Denver and took their son Jeff home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hilty and Danda and Mrs. Railyon Kreder visited with their parents at the same time. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shaw of Kansas City, Kans., spent Friday night in the Ben Hilty home. Roscoe: Miss Diane Stone was a guest from Friday night till Sunday afternoon in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Carriker and Connie. Those visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rosebrough the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Huffman, Mr. and Mrs. O.K. Street, Mrs. Emma Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Babler and Mrs. Clara Babler, Mrs. Katie Bruce, Mrs. Sadler, Mrs. Chloe Speight, Mrs. Agnes Oldham and Mrs. Winnie Hammon. Miss Diane Stone, Miss Connie Carriker and Mrs. Allen Carriker went to Clinton Saturday. Mrs. Edna Keith visited Sunday in the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Long. Mr. and Mrs. Rube Tandy visited Sunday with their daughter Mr. and Ms. Harvey Lovewell. Mrs. Edna Keith and Mrs. Edward Long visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lappine and Jimmie. Bear Creek: Floyd, Jack and Paul Hooper had the good luck to get their deer before noon Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Otice Wisner went to a Stanley party at the Donald Hyde home Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Garrison and family visited Sunday in the Mahlon Garrison home. Mr. and Mrs. Flint Nickel visited Sunday in the Leo Baxter home. Mrs. Maude Hooper visited Sunday in the Russell Nickel home. Mrs. Anna Mae Wisner visited in the Floyd Hooper home Wednesday afternoon. Visitors in the Ida Shinn home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Otice Wisner, Mrs. J.W. Jelks and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wisner and family. Mr. and Mrs. Otice Wisner called in the Irus Wisner home Friday morning. Mrs. Otice Wisner's lemon tree has five lemons on it. One will be ready to take off next week. Several blooms are also on the tree. Callers in the Leo Baxter home Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Garrison and family and Jack Hooper. Dinner guests Sunday in the Vaun Myers home were Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Linley and family, Nevada, and Christine Myers. Other visitors were Irven Myers and Glenn McDonley. |
