Bro. Dean Tomlinson was a dinner and supper guest Sunday in the
home of M. and Mrs. Guy Speight.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Pace visited over the weekend in the home of
their daughter, Mrs. Oliver huff, and Mr. Huff at Holden, Mo.
Mr. and Mrs. Elza Coleman entertained their grandchildren in their
home Saturday night and Sunday, Randy, Cleta, Craig, Kent and Brent
Coleman while their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Coleman, visited in the
Ozarks.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith and Dorsha and her friend, Paul Hooper, drove
to Scammon, Kans., Sunday and visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Dewey Smith and daughter.
Mrs. R.A. Tandy was a caller Sunday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Ruth
Diley.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bell and children visited a while Sunday afternoon
in the Russell See home.
Several from Roscoe attended the funeral services Sunday afternoon for
Luther Mallicoat at the Chapel in Osceola. Bro. Dean Tomlinson was the
clergyman.
Mrs. Ivy Roeder is visiting in the home of a sister, Mrs. Maud
Mitzler, in Zion, Ill. The sister, whom she had gone to see and had
recently suffered a stroke, died. Funeral services were held Thursday
of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Osborn of Osceola returned home but
Mrs. Roeder remained in Illinois to visit a while.
Mrs. Winnie Hammon was a dinner guest Tuesday of last week of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Babler. The occasion was to help Winnie celebrate her
birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Wright visited Friday night in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. James Bradford and sons of Belton, Mo.
Mrs. Winnie Hammon was a caller Friday afternoon in the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Rosebrough.
Mrs. Mattie Moore spent Thursday night with Mrs. Cora Moore. Cora went
home with her Thursday and visited until Saturday afternoon.
A group of ladies met at the church Tuesday of last week and made
needed articles for the Cancer Closet.
Mrs. Winne Hammon visited a while Thursday afternoon in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Grover Parks.
Vacation Bible school will start at the Roscoe Christian Church
Monday, June 6. If you haven’t enrolled your children, see Mrs. Robert
Bell or Mrs. Carl Roberts.
Mrs. Ruby Pasley, Floyd Richmonds and Roy Keetons were callers during
the week in the Frank Rosebrough home. Mrs. Guy Speight was a caller
Sunday evening in the same home.
Orville Hill died Tuesday morning at the Nevada Hospital, where he has
been a patient during the past two weeks.

of Luther Mallicoat at the Osceola hospital.
