ROCKVILLE:

Rev. Shultz will hold his regular services at Rockville M. E. church Sunday, Feb. 5th. Sunday School at 10 a.m., Joe Nolte, Supt.

Stock shipments from Rockville Monday were as follows: Wesley Robinson 1 car load of cattle; Thos. Neale 1 car load of cattle; C. H. Bailey 1 car of cattle and 1 car of hogs.

Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Duck are back from a month's vacation at Warm Springs, Ga., and other points in the south.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Midkiff, of Springfield, are visiting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Midkiff, having been called here to attend the Golden Wedding anniversary of his parents.

Albert Sunderwirth, of Tulsa, Okla., is visiting his brother, Julius Sunderwirth.

Mrs. Pauline Bain and children have returned home to Lamar, after an extended stay with her mother, Mrs. Lena Hirni.

Mr. and Mrs. Forest Parks are moving their dry goods from their store here to the store at Appleton City. They are also moving their household goods to Appleton City.

Spring showers are falling at this writing, Tuesday.

Mrs. Fred Hand and children of Taberville, were Saturday visitors in Rockville.

W. T. Ridgway of the Mt. Zion community gives us a year's renewal to the Journal, for which he has our thanks.

Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Midkiff observed their Golden Wedding anniversary at their home in Rockville, Tuesday, Jan. 31st. Their oldest son, Raymond, and youngest son, Everett, and their families were with them. Their two sons, Lilburn and Orville, who live in Montana, could not be present.

Mrs. Walter Steiner, Mrs. Rosa Durst and Mrs. Kate Kamm were Appleton City visitors the first of the week.

Mrs. Cline Peeler and daughter, Alma Jane, of Appleton City, came Saturday for an over Sunday visit with her mother, Mrs. Sarah Garling and sister, Miss Alma Garling.

Mrs. Walter Steiner entertained the Albert and Charlie Durst families Sunday.

PRAIRIE HOME:
We are having ideal weather for the time of year, and the farmers are taking advantage of it by plowing and doing other work which will help out in the spring.

The sick are all better, no new cases of flu, which we hope is done for this winter, anyway.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wilkerson and boys visited Saturday night and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Moore. They are moving to the H. I. Sagaser farm.

Those who called in the Alfred Grass home Saturday eve after supper were Mr. and Mrs. Burnice Mistler and three children, John Higgins, Claude Mistler, Opal, Stella Altha and Alvin Higgins, Claude Moore and A. C. Williams.

Mrs. W. E. Moore visited Friday in the Burnice Mistler home.

Burr Shoemaker, who has been real sick with the flu, is somewhat better.

Claude Moore visited Saturday night with Melvin Grass.

Miss Lavern Dains spent Saturday night and Sunday with Miss Stella Higgins.

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Mistler and children spent Thursday with her brother, Burnice Mistler, and family.

Little Miss Mary Alice Grass visited Saturday eve with Miss Opal Higgins.

RICH VALLEY:
Richard Colson sawed wood for a number of Taberville citizens last week.

Joe Strickler and wife, who have lived in Taberville for a long time, moved the past week down near Warsaw.

Art Rapps is somewhat better from rheumatism, but is yet unable to work.

Mrs. Art Poling is also a sufferer from rheumatism.

Everett Colson, wife and mother, who recently came here from Montana, will go to Monegaw for the benefit of Everett's health. His mother having spent the greater part of her life there knows what good qualities the water contains.

Ray Lukenbill and family have moved back to our valley and he will farm with his father this year.

Lonnie Hooker spent the weekend here with his wife, who is keeping house for her mother during the latter's absence.

Earl Bishop and wife are visiting in the home of his mother. He will move to the farm of his aunt, Mrs. Julia Free, the first of March.

SOUTH DEEPWATER:
Mrs. Delbert Wigger and baby spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Harry Frey.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dunbar spent Sunday with James Taylor.

Mr. and Mrs. Merl Sargent and family spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Snodgrass and family.

Claud Quick is on the sick list.

Miss Lucille Reynolds and Miss Emma Jean Welliver spent Friday night with Miss Fern Gragg.

Geo. Quick sawed wood Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Wigger and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Merl Sargent and family and Miss Lucille Reynolds called on Mr. and Mrs. Earl Taylor and daughter, Jean, Wednesday evening.
