Appleton City, MO Thursday, 16 February 1933 NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS: Miss Mada Harper spent Sunday with Violet Weichert. Mrs. Homer Stewart and sons spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rash. Miss Ruth Ginter and Eugene Wilson called in the Clarence Ginter home Sunday evening. Murlin Carpenter spent Sunday eve in the Jewell Carroll home. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ridgway are the parents of a baby girl born February 7th. Bobbie Pitt spent Saturday night and Sunday in the Criss Lillard home. Arthur Hayes and family spent Sunday evening with Paul Everett and family. Mrs. Avery Hunsucker and Mrs. Doc McClellan spent the day Wednesday with Mrs. Geo. Thompson. Elton Vern and Evelyn Fern Carroll have been real sick. Dr. Smith was called Friday night. Pauline Carroll spent Tuesday night with Lavonne Lillard. PRAIRIE HOME: Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Moore and their son and daughter were Appleton City shoppers Monday, and visited their daughter and sister, Miss Wauneta. I. N. Morris visited Tuesday with his sister, Mrs. Alfred Grass, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Brown Higgins were Sunday visitors in the parental Earl Borling home. The P. H. S. C. met with Mrs. Nellie Higgins Wednesday, the first. All members were present except Mrs. Pace, Mrs. Shoemaker and Miss Wauneta Moore. The day was spent in quilting, and at noon a fine dinner was on the table to which all did more than justice. The meeting was adjourned at 3:30. Mrs. Hopkins won the prize. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. Capps on February 15th. Sac Capps spent Saturday night with Junior and Vernon Grass.
