Pleasant Gap:
Miss Cora Wix is visiting her grandmother.

Mrs. Joe Wix called on Mrs. G. Helwig Tuesday afternoon.

Tom Hancock was shopping in Pleasant Gap Tuesday.

Lee Wix lost a colt last week.

Miss Emma Fox visited her sister, Mrs. Jno. Diehl, Thursday.

Misses Lizzie Regnauer and Rosa Fennewaid visited Monday and Tuesday with Mrs. Louis Seiner near Pleasant Gap.

Geo. Harkrader called at John Fennewald's Thursday night.

Mrs. Link's baby has pneumonia.

Mrs. Montgomery is improving some.

Mrs. John Fennewald and daughter Grace visited with Mrs. Carl Durst, who has been sick, last Tuesday.

R.M. Wix and some other men went fishing last week.

Mrs. John Kaufman called on Mrs. Carl Durst last Wednesday.

Willie Fennewald was plowing for corn last week.

Miss Rose Rauers was shopping in Pleasant Gap Tuesday.

Mt. Zion:
Mrs. Garland Waters spent Monday with Mrs. Jas. Allison.

Mrs. John Page spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. John Rosbaugh.

A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Moody Carroll April 19.

Geo. Brown is pulling the old apple trees north of his house.

Reynard school closed Friday with a short program by the scholars.

Lucien Green called on Wm Sutton Wednesday.

Dr. Howard, the new Veterinary was out Monday looking after some sick stock for Earnie Browning.

Miss Gertrude Wilson to Kansas City to see a sick aunt.

James Wilson has been on the sick list for the past week.

John Ford and wife spent Sunday with Mrs. E.E. Holt.

Harry Brown and wife spent Sunday at H.E. Page's.

Prairie Home:
Sad, but true, those who are not numerous at all, that are not getting married, are leaving Missouri entirely. Amidst those who are making their departure is our good old time citizen of St. Clair County: namely, Daniel Thompson, who left last Saturday for Colorado. Very well, they'll all come back, but maybe in the after years. Tis hoping not, "'But Luck to You"', Dan from all your many friends.

Miss Letia Dunham spent Saturday night and Sunday with Miss Gladys Waters.

Willie Moore saw a Birdie Saturday, but 'twasn't a canary. Was it Willie?

Miss Nettie Beardslee spent Friday night with Mrs. Bert Ridgway.

Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grass, R.L. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Morris, Mrs. Coleman and children, Russie Morris, Pearl Howard and Harrison Gatheway spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Puffenbarger.

Miss Bessie Tillery spent Sunday with home folks.

Miss Pearl Ridgeway of Rockville spent Sunday with her sister Mrs. Chas. Bass.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Randolph of Round Prairie visited Saturday and Sunday with O.C. Randolph and family.

Lewis Neale had the misfortune to lose his driving mare Friday; in a playful mood she stepped on a board in such a manner as to tip one end up, catching her on the inside of the thigh. (Wonder if he will walk to Copeland now?)

Word was received here Saturday of the death of Mr. and Mrs. Copeland's babe, of Glendale, Arizona.

Taberville:
Everybody is busy and news is scarce this week.

Charlie Colson and wife were calling on friends in this place last Tuesday afternoon.

Robert Oehring, brother of Hanibal Oehring, is here for a few days visit.

Burt Cline and Ed Myers from Appleton City were transacting business here last week.

Miss Grace Parks, Katheryn Nunn, Arsell Crook, and Bryon Duncan were pleasant callers at the home of Russel Duncan and wife Friday evening.

J.M. Routsong and daughter, Miss Lelia were Taberville visitors last Thursday.

Ed Oehring, wife and children, Oscar Oehing and family very pleasantly surprised their father, who is visiting their Uncle Hanibal living near this place. They came over from Lamar in their car.

A.W. Allinson made a business trip to Osceola last week.

W.R. Flowers and family visited Sunday with R.H. Calvert and wife.

Master Murl Johnson is visiting this week at Ohio with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Johnson.
