Mrs. Dr. Short of Appleton City came down Friday for a few days visit with Rockville friends.

Rev. A.L. Collins of Nevada preached Saturday night and Sunday at the Rockville Baptist Church.

Quite a large crowd of country people enjoyed the day in town Saturday, being too wet for farm work.

O.R. Sigismond called Saturday and renewed the subscription of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Smith, of Geary, Okla.

Mrs. Frank Clark of Clinton visited her mother, Mrs. Margaret Wood and son, Seth Clark and family at Harwood.

Mrs. George Pryn entertained at dinner Wednesday, H.L. Hall and family, E.T. Weichert and family, and G. Bain and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Neese of Nevada have been visiting Mrs. Neese's grandmother, Mrs. P. Fisher, but expect to leave soon for Billings, Montana, where they will reside.

Mrs. Louisa Landon is critically ill at her home at Schell City, and owing to advanced years, it is feared that she will not again rally, as she is very feeble. Mrs. Landon formerly lived at Taberville, where she has many friends, and also has many friends in Appleton City who will regret to hear of her condition.

Wm. F. Cluck
Wm. F. Cluck died at the home of his son Terry Cluck in this city Monday after a short illness, aged about eighty years. Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday at 2 o'clock.

J.E. Graves went to Rockville Saturday morning on business.

Mrs. John Grosshart and son returned the latter part of last week from a two-week's visit with relatives at Newkirk, Okla.

Miss Carrie Benefield returned from Butler Saturday evening where she has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Joe Flemings.

Misses Lizzie Donnohue and Edith Walker left for Montrose Saturday evening for a short visit with friends.

Mrs. J.F. Pippinger and two children of Deepwater came in Saturday to visit Alfred Pippinger and other relatives living near here.

Donnell Rogers, who recently left for Sheridan, Wyo., writes back that he reached his destination safely and expected to go to work in a roundhouse at that place.

Edmond Hirni has resigned his position with Jno. Lewis & Son and departed Monday for Appleton City where he has accepted a position in the new Alten Bakery. - Schell City News

Mrs. F.T. Clark of Clinton, after visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. J.E. McKinney for a short time, left for Rockville Saturday evening where she will visit with other relatives.
