Pleasant Gap News:
The sudden change of weather is hard on the people around Pleasant Gap.

Mrs. N. Earson had a quilting Thursday.

Mrs. John Fennewald and daughter Rosa made a business trip to Rich Hill Wednesday.

Mr. R.B. Wix and wife have been visiting with their daughter Mrs. Gans near Sprague, Mo.

Albert Durst has quit working in B.M. Wix's store.

Lee Wix and family spent Sunday at John Fennewald's.

Misses Gusta and Katie Filgus called on Mrs. John Fennewald Wednesday.

John Fennewald hauled a load of wood Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Charley Sweezy from Kansas City was here on a visit.

C. Hegnauer's had quite a crowd Sunday. Those present were Louis Stiner and family, Fred Stevener and family, Lenord Hegnauer and family, John Fennewald and family, Miss Minnie Scheer and Jimmie Mock. A good dinner was served and the remainder of the day was spent in singing.

Joe Link and family went to Appleton City Thursday.

Miss Minnie Scheer returned home Monday. Grace and Rosa Fennewald went with her.

Mt. Zion News:

Mrs. O.C. Davis visited Friday with Mrs. F. Colson of Monegaw Springs.

Mrs. Millie Heath spent a few days last week at James Allison's.

Miss Alma Rosbrough spent the past week with home folks.

Miss Golda Allison spent Friday night and Saturday with her cousin, Mrs. G. Waters.

Those who are recovering of tonsillitis at this writing are Mr. and Mrs. Addy Allison, Leslie Heath and Mrs. Garland Waters.

W.T. Ridgway and family, Moody Carroll and family, and Edith Allison took dinner Sunday at John Barnett's.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Carroll and daughter of Johnson City visited Sunday at Billie Allinson's. Mrs. Curtis Allinson and daughter accompanied them home where they will visit a few days.

A little boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ridgway, January 31st.

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ridgway's little boy is quite sick at this writing with sore throat.

Supt. Higgins Coming.
County Supt. of Schools, Higgins, has sent notice to this paper that he will be in Appleton City Saturday, February 11 to transact any matters of business pertaining to the schools of this section of the county. He will be at the Journal office so call and see him if you have any matters of importance along school lines to look after.
