Miss Grace Nolte very delightfully entertained the young people of the neighborhood at a Rook Party on Saturday evening, December 19th, in honor of Miss Carol Huff. The game was much enjoyed and light refreshments were served. All left, expressing the hope that Miss Carol would be happy in her new home and often revisit her old home and friends.

One of the most elaborate and delightful events of the season was the six o’clock dinner given by the Woman’s Improvement Club of Rockville on Tuesday, December 15th, in honor of two of their members. Mesdames C.W. Carter and P.L. Huff and their families, who will leave in a few days for their new homes in El Dorado Springs. The long table was beautifully and elaborately decorated and laden with the choicest viands, and was a feast for eye and palate. The President, Mrs. S.J. Henville, presided, and the honor guests and older guests and members were served by the Club members in a delightful manner. The other members and their families were afterward served in cafeteria style. The Rockville Prairie City Orchestra discoursed sweet music throughout the evening. Those who desired enjoyed the mazy dance, while others enjoyed social chat. It was an evening of much enjoyment and the Carter and Huff families highly appreciated the honor accorded them. Those present to enjoy the evening were: C.W. Carter and family; P.L. Huff and family; Mrs. S.J. Henville and family; J.W. Evans and family; R.E. Duley and family; Frank Gunn and family; Mrs. D.D. Hitt and family; the Hoyle, A.J. Sunderwirth, Melton, Parker, Brown, J.W. Sunderwirth, W. Steiner, Bothwell, Kamm, W.L. Bennett, Mrs. J.N.
