Christmas at this place passed off very quietly.

Chester Hoover who is teaching school near Pleasant Hill is here for a visit with relatives during the holidays.

Chas. Irvine and wife are visiting with his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Sandage.

J. Henville and son Chester of the Green Valley neighborhood attended the Masonic supper at this place the 27th.

Mr. Myers from Oklahoma visited with his mother and sister Mrs. Leonard Boch the past week.

John Rounds' wife and baby spent Christmas with relatives at this place.

Fred Oehring lost a very valuable horse last week.

Miss Florence Nunn who is teaching near Kansas City is visiting her sister, Mrs. R.G. Duncan during the holidays.

Mrs. Lasater and Mrs. Stella Bishop returned from Pittsburg, Kans., where they had been to attend the funeral of their son and brother.

Mrs. Crabb was a visitor at the home of Mrs. Dell Masterson this week and attended the Masonic supper.

J.W. Greeson and wife ate Christmas dinner with Edd Larkins and wife.

Geo. Chinn, who has been in the west for the last year, is spending the holidays with relatives near this place.

Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Douglas spent Christmas with their daughter, Mrs. Fald Wilson, in Rockville.

Miss Katheryn Nunn accompanied her sister Miss Florence as far as Clinton on her return to her school duties near Kansas City.

A very large crowd attended the Christmas tree at this place and the program was enjoyed by all, after which the presents were distributed by Santa Claus and the little folks were well remembered.

Fred Oehring and family are visiting with relatives at Monegaw Springs this week.

Mr. Mathews and Lula Fisk attended the Literary at Blue Mound last Friday.

Chester Henville visited Saturday and Sunday with his old friend, R.G. Duncan.

Clark Duncan and F.O. Masterson attended the pie and pound social at Dave Beauchamp's Saturday night. They report a pleasant time.

The Annual Supper at the Masonic Hall was well attended. Everyone present was made welcome, and the ladies certainly know how to serve oysters.
