Looking for information on family of Coonrod BAKER. Coonrod was married to Christena AKARD. They were born around1782-1787 in N.C. and are buried in Lindley Prairie
Cemetery just inside the Cedar Co. Line (by Stockton). Coonrod's son was Silas BAKER. Also buried in Cedar Co., but some of Coonrod's family migrated to Polk Co. Silas died in 1890. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We just recently
visited friends there and he said there were LOTS friends said there
are LOTS of Akards in Polk Co. I would like to know if there are any related
to Christena AKARD who married Coonrod BAKER. Maybe there is a connection. Thanks so much.

I am searching for information on Benjamin Franklin LAWSON, born 12/03/1867, died 07/04/1930. He is buried somewhere in Humansville, MO according to his obituary and his son (my grandfather), but I have been unable to locate the cemetery, he died in Kansas City. He married a Lula HORN, born in 1876 (?) and died 12/23/1925. They had 5 children, Harry Lawson, b. 03/13/1894, d. 07/12/1971; Ernest Lawson, b. 08/22/1896, d. 03/30/1983; Burnett (Burr) Lawson, b. 04/13/1898, d. 09/03/1950; Goldie Mable LAWSON Huddelston, b. 08/05/1904, d. 08/30/1970 and Glenn P. Lawson (my grandfather) b. 06/12/1901, d. 06/25/1979. My grandfather, Glenn, was born in Humansville MO.

I'm looking for the descendants of George F. DICKERSON and Sarah WELLS, who came from Kentucky and settled in Polk County around 1854. Their children were Mary Frances who married William CRISWELL, Lydia Jane who married John T. HAYES, Sarah who married Joseph JENKINS, Isom who married Mrs. Elizabeth PYATT, and George who married Sarah E. BROWN. I am also enterested in finding out Mrs.Elizabeth Pyatt's maiden name.

William VEST married Melinda LANGFORD in Polk Co., MO. on July 13, 1843. They had a number of children looking for the date of birth for Marion/Marian VEST and his twin sister Meridy. They were born in 1844 in MO. But believe that they were born in Polk Co. since the parnets were married their the year before and Marion's father died in Bolivar, Polk Co., MO. Willing to share.

Almost all my family is from Polk and surrounding counties. Warren RECTOR and his wife Mary were from the Germanna Colony in Va. and came to MO in the middle 1800's they had thirteen children: Samuel S., Nancy, Rulise, Male child, James, Leonidas, Effie, Susannah, James, Latisia Ann, Mary, Jesse, & Polly Angeline. Their sons Samuel S. RECTOR married his brother Jesse B. RECTOR'S widow Queen Isabella KELLER (Isaac WELLS KELLER). From these unions were seven children: Isaac Warren, Orlean Adeline, James Leonidas, Jesse Francis, Ulysses Grant (1869), Emma D. and William Monroe RECTOR. Ulysses Grant RECTOR m. Sarah Elizabeth BALL (1874-1962). Their children were: Ida Cloe (1896), Jesse Monroe (1898), Francis Claude (1901), Orville Washington (1904), Clarence Charles (1906), Martha Helen (1908), Stella Mae Rector HUNTER (1910), Gracie Mildred. My Grandfather, Jesse Monroe RECTOR married Viola MYERS (1900-1978). Their children: Viola Gertrude Rector EDWARDS (1922), Jesse John RECTOR(1924), Charles Ray RECTOR (1927). My father is Charles Ray Rector. He married Clarice Betty RIDGWAY whose father was Clarence Julius RIDGWAY (1891-2) who married first to Mary Martha Millie May FINNEY (mother's maiden name McCANAUGHEY). before MIllie May's death, she and CJ had daughter Loretta Sylvannia Ridgway who married Burl MARTIN. Clarence J. RIDGWAY's parents were: Robert William "Willie" RIDGWAY and Sylvannia BRADSHAW (KENNEDY) their other children were: Bessie RIDGWAY CARLOCK (1888), Franklin (1889), Ruth RIDGWAY BARHART (1893), Lois RIDGWAY KOONTZ. Willie RIDGWAY's parents were James R. RIDGWAY and Elizabeth OLDRIDGE, Their other Children: Frank Pierce, Jim, Edward G., Charles C., James Buchannon, Harry F., Henry Melvin, Mary E. and Lulu T. RIDGWAY. One of the daughters married a BOWLES. Any information about my family would be appreciated.

I am searching for information the ROUTH families in Polk Co. ISAAC ROUTH was appointed as Justice of the Peace in 1835. He married: 1. Frances GILLIHAN. m 2. Grace SPROWLS in 1842. I am searching for information on John C. ROUTH b abt 1827 d 1873. John listed in 1850 federal census in Polk CO. Married in 1847 to Mary SMITH. Their children: Martha Caroline, Francis Marion (my great-grandfather), William Henry, George, Lavone Or Lavena Elizabeth, Margaret L., Sarah Francis, Drucilla Mand, James Thomas, And Lum Christopher. John served in the Mexican War with 3rd Regiment, MO Volunteers. Mary remarried after John's death to a man named WILDER. Mary died in 1907. Any information would be appreciated on these families.
