I'm looking for a complete listing for gravestones in Oak Hill / Clearmont Cemetery, Nodaway Co., Mo. (This is where, I believe her husband was buried....can't be sure if this is the same Thomas S. Downey, but the dates are close)
Looking for a Mary Ann Scott Downey who died March 26, 1876 in New Point, Mo. She was born in Ohio 1819.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mary A. wife of Rev T.S., aged 57y 1m 7d [death date either isn't on stone or forgot to copy]
Phebe wife of Rev T.S. died Dec 30, 1901 aged 70y 8m 18d
In the newspaper there was a "blurb" about this but not an obituary - "B.C. Downey's mother died Mar 26, 1876 at Clearmont." Nodaway Democrat, Maryville, Missouri, Apr 13, 1876 |

I have an old post card that Thomas S. Downey wrote to my gggrandfather, James Scott informing him of his (Thomas) wife's death. James Scott being Mary Ann's brother. Below is post card. Any other information that you have, on file, for Thomas and Mary Ann would be so appreciated. Do you know of any site that I could go to to find any more information? Janice Doran |
