An incorporated village on the M. K. & T. Railroad in Marion twp, Monroe Co., 12 miles west of Paris, 57 miles south west of Hannibal, and 18 miles east of Moberly. It contains a public school, 400 inhabitants, and Christian and Methodist churches. Land is worth from $10 to $20 per acre, and the products are corn, oats, hay, rye, which with stock form the shipments. Pop. 400. Stages to Middle Grove and Woodlawn. Te., W. U. Ex., U. S.
