Contributed by: Christine Hamlett Dieckmann William L. Hamlett, Pike Co Mo. Entered service at Troy Mo summer of 1861. Burbridge's Regiment, under Arch Bankhead, Capt.and Brutus Easton 1st Lieut, and Tom Hammonds 2nd Lieut. He was in Infantry, and took parts in the battles of Lexington, Pea Ridge, Shiloh, Iuka, Corrinth and lastly Pilot Knob where he was captured and later paroled. I have the paper where it is a registered record of ex-Confederate on file with the Adj. Gen. office Jefferson City MO. Can't find any info anywhere listing him but I have the officil copy. |
