While searching for my Hogue ancestors in Macon County I started to read the earliest newspapers from the time that William Owen Hogue was last mentioned on the census records, 1870. While doing so, I thought to transcribe the deaths mentioned in the newspaper, along with a few marriages, murders, severe injuries, and insane asylum referrals.

I attempted to include all referenced items in the newspapers but I am sure that I failed to see some because of the lack of organization in early newspapers.
