He came with his parents to Frostberg, Maryland in 1855. Later the family removed to Barton, Maryland where Mr. Andrews was reared. He was married to Miss Fannie Ayers, July 22, 1873 in Barton, Maryland. They came to Bevier, Missouri in1878 or 179. In 1882 they moved to the farm which is now the home. Seven children came into this family. One, a little girl, died in infancy. A son passed away in his early twenties.

The surviving children are: Mrs. Cora Dixon, Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. D. A. McBeth, Mrs. W. C. Smoot, George R. Andrews of the home community and Miss Kate Andrews, who teaches in Hardin College, Mexico, Missouri.

Mr. Andrews has 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Mr. Andrews was the eldest of ten children, four brothers and five sisters. Two brothers and three sisters survive him. Illness of some and distance for others make it impossible for them to be present.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrews spent six weeks last fall visiting these relatives in Maryland and West Virginia.

Through his illness he was most patient and appreciative. Not once did he complain of pain or suffering.

Everything that family and friends did for his care and comfort was always all right. No word of criticism or objection came from him.

He enjoyed the visits of the many kind friends who came to see him and until his last day was able to speak with all who came.

Funeral was conducted at Old Bloomington M.E. Church by the Rev. Dr. George E. Poole of Callao. Interment in Bevier cemetery.
