Obituary for Ray Albert Twellmann  (1911-1976)

            Ray Albert TWELLMANN was born February 3, 1911 at Moscow Mills, Missouri, the son of Herman and Mamie MEYERS TWELLMANN.  He passed away in Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy, Missouri, the afternoon of Wednesday, April 21, 1976.  He was 65 years, 2 months and 18 days of age.

            September 21, 1935, he was united in marriage to the former Miss Darline MUNSEL.  They became the parents of two sons. 

            Preceding Mr. TWELLMANN in death were one brother, Edward TWELLMANN and one sister, Mrs. Jeanette ADELHARDT.

            He is survived by his very devoted wife, Darline of their residence; his sons: Ronald and his wife, Alberta and their son, Charles; Dean and his wife, Anna Lee and their children, Craig and Tracy; one sister, Edna and her husband, Dewey MORSE; his brother Edward’s wife, Mary TWELLMANN, one uncle, Ed TWELLMANN, a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

            Mr. TWELLMANN lived and farmed in the Moscow Mills area most of his life.   He also was a construction worker, and worked at the TNT plant and did construction in St. Louis.  Mr. TWELLMANN had been in poor health for a number of years.   However, he never let his state of health get his spirits down.

            The Rev. Dwight Borden, pastor of the Friedens United Church of Christ, Moscow Mills, conducted funeral services at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, April 24, 1976 from the Friedens Church.  Mrs. Wencker Meyer was the organist and Lester Schloemann was the vocalist.

            Burial was in the Moscow Mills Anderson Hills Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Bill BEAUCHAMP, Johnny BUSCH, Ernie LEITMAN, Harold HEILBRINK, Albert MESSERLY and Clifton ADLEHARDT.
