Albert L. RICKS Dies Near Winfield

Albert Lee RICKS 66, a retired Winfield, Mo., merchant who was widely known in Lincoln County, died unexpectedly of heart disease Wednesday on a farm he operated near Winfield as a hobby since his retirement.

RICKS operated a general merchandise store in Winfield for 30 years. He was a member of the Board of education, a member of the Board of Curators of Hannibal - LaGrange College and a Board member of the Baptist Home for the Aged, Ironton, Mo.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Estelle Vinyard RICKS; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice EAST and Mrs. Wilma DAILEY, and three sons, Nathan, Orval, and O'Garlan RICKS. The latter is a Winfield and Elsberry, Mo. funeral director. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the Ricks Funeral Home, Winfield, to Winfield Baptist Church. Burial will be in Winfield Cemetery.
