Obituary for Fred Richards, Retired Farmer (1895-1981)

Fred Wing RICHARDS, lifelong Lincoln County resident, passed away in the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, Troy, Saturday morning, March 14, 1981. He was 85 years of age.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, March 16, from the Kemper Marsh Funeral Home in Troy. The Rev. Lester ZACHER was the minister in charge. Burial was in the Troy City Cemetery.

Mr. RICHARDS was born May 2,1895, near Moscow Mills, Mo., the son of James and Louvenia COCHRAN RICHARDS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Hardin RICHARDS, James RICHARDS, Eugene RICHARDS, and Ottis RICHARDS and three sisters: Mrs. Mary LEWIS, Miss Emma RICHARDS, and Miss. Verna Lou RICHARDS.

He is survived by one nephew, Richard LEWIS and his wife, Ellen of Wentzville; one niece, Mrs. Hellen UTTERBACK of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Iva RICHARDS of Troy; other relatives and many friends.

Mr. RICHARDS was a retired Lincoln County farmer.
