Obituary for Ethel Thornhill Peitzman  (1901-1979)

            Ethel Jane PEITZMAN was born at Moscow Mills, Mo. on May 3, 1901, the daughter of William and Ida Lee LESTER THORNHILL.  She passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 1979 at the Lincoln County Memorial Hospital, at the age fo 78 years, 7 months, and 13 days.

            On March 11, 1925 she was united in marriage to Ernie W. PEITZMAN at Troy.  This union was blessed with two daughters.

            Mrs. PEITZMAN became a member of the Moscow Mills Christian Church on April 26, 1918 and remained active in the church as long as her health permitted.  Most of her life was spent in and around the Moscow Mills Community, except when she traveled with her husband to his different jobs with the Sinclair Oil Co. 

            Mrs. Peitzman is survived by her husband, Ernie; two daughters, Elnora DETWEILER and husband, Glen and Anna Marie SHILHARVEY and husband, Robert; grandchildren, great-grandchildren….(copy damaged)

            Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 18 from McCoy-Paul Funeral Home in Troy, Rev. Lester Zacher officiating.  Mrs. Karen Simmons was the organist and Mrs. Joyce Gillespie the vocalist.  The pallbearers were all grandsons; Michael, Danny, and Joe SHILHARVEY, Tim and Ronald SCHIEFFER and Floyd HENSEN.

            Interment was in the Friedens United Church of Christ cemetery, Moscow Mills.
