Funeral of Mrs. HOWDESHELL Held Sunday.

Mrs. Anna Belle HOWDESHELL, 78, mother of Leo and William HOWDESHELL, Route 2, Elsberry, died at her country home on Friday, June 7, following a short illness of a couple of days, although she had been in poor health for several years.

Funeral services were held from the Elsberry Christian Church at 3 P.M. Sunday June 9, with Rev. Oscar Campbell officiating. Interment was in the Buffalo Cemetery near Louisiana. [Louisiana is located in Pike County, Missouri. --lp]

Mrs. HOWDESHELL was born January 24, 1880 at Louisiana, [Pike County], Missouri, and was a daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth [SUMMERS] WADE. In 1899 she was married to Roland M. HOWDESHELL, who passed away in 1934. She had been a house wife all her life and was a member of the Annada Christian Church. Besides her two sons, she leaves a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leo [Florence Marie] HOWDESHELL; brother-in-law, Gus HOWDESHELL of Elsberry and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Rodney NORTON, and Mrs. Harry BUSCH, Elsberry. Two children, Vivian and Earl preceded her in death.

Mrs. HOWDESHELL had many friends and acquaintances in the community where she spent a greater part of her life. She was loved and admired by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed by her family.

The services were in charge of Ricks Funeral Home, Elsberry.
