Obituary for Eddie B. Hardy (1913-1992)

Services for Eddie B. HARDY of Troy were held Feb. 14, at the Zion United Church of Christ. The Rev. Dale Krampe officiated.

Mr. HARDY died Feb. 11, 1992, at Lincoln County Memorial Hospital following an illness. He was 79. Burial was at Thornhill Cemetery on Thornhill Cemetery Road, off Hwy 47, east of Troy.

Mr. HARDY was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Troy the son of Ben and Buelah May COOPER HARDY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Irene TWELLMAN HARDY of the home; three daughters, Karel BOSOWSKI of San Pedro, Calif., Jeane RHODES and her husband, Larry, of Lakewood, Colo. and Pamela STANEK and husband, Bob, of Hawk Point; two sons, Russell HARDY and wife, Kathy, of Troy and Gerald HARDY and wife, Jolene, of Metamora, Ill.; one sister, Aliece SEGRESS of Winchester, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and friends and relatives.

Mr. HARDY was a farmer in Lincoln County. He served on the board of directors at Farmers Elevator in Troy. He was a board member of Taylor School. He served on the ASCA Committee and was caretaker and member of Thornhill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ or to the Thornhill Cemetery Association in care of McCoy and Blossom Funeral Home in Troy.
