Elsberry Feb. 10, 1914 - July 28, 2005

ELSBERRY - Viola V. Farmer, 91, of Elsberry, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Elsberry Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, July 30, at McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home in Troy. The Rev. Ken Wells will officiate. Burial will be at Old Alexandria Cemetery in Troy.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Farmer was born Feb. 10, 1914, in Frederick, Md., to George Lewis and Grace Josephine Bowers Burdette.

She was married to Virgil Farmer on Aug. 23, 1946, in Baltimore, Md. He preceded her in death June 26, 1990.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Doris Farmer of Elsberry; and four nieces, Margaret Riddlemoser of Lovetsville, Va., Barbara Vavrock of Riverside, Calif., Linda (Shawn) Peronto of Hortonville, Wis., and Betty (Patrick) Burns of Foristell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one brother.

Memorials may be made to Old Alexandria Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
