[Transcriber's note:

Mrs. Parks Groshong was the first person outside our immediate family I spoke with as I began the long journey into the Groshong Family History. She was a resident of the Wells Nursing Home at Moscow Mills, Mo. She was the first person to tell me that Jacob de Clement Groshong s/o Jeremiah & Mary Magdalina Crow / Kroh Groshong, also her husband's grandfather, and my husband's gg-grandfather was the first white child born in what is now Lincoln Co. Mo., being born 02 Oct. 1800. We now have documented evidence of this j.g.]
