Obituary for John Marion Dyer (1873-?)
No. 040 - Uncited clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection" of Beth Rengers Talken, 1998.

John Marion DYER, a former resident of the Owen neighborhood, died in Chicago on the 25th, of Bright's disease, after an illness of several months. His remains were brought here yesterday, accompanied by quite a number of relatives and friends from the vicinity of his old home, and interred at the city cemetery. Mr. DYER was a son of D.A. DYER and had been a Chicago motorman for about five years past. He was born Jan. 4, 1873. He is survived by his wife and one child, his father, five brothers and three sisters, who have the sympathy of many friends in this affliction.

Note regarding clippings from the "Neva Murphy Hubbard Collection":  Neva Murphy Hubbard (1886-1971) lived all of her life in Lincoln County, MO.  She collected a large file of clippings of Lincoln County residents. The majority of the clippings were without citation. Beth Rengers Talken, beneficiary of the collection, has transcribed them for inclusion in our Lincoln County Heritage Records.
