Rev. Father Thomas CLEARY, the priest at Millwood, was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, in 1814. He received his literary education in the old country, where he taught school. In 1851 he sailed for America, and after teaching in South Carolina and Georgia, he was honored with the degree of LL.D. at St. Mary’s College, S.C. He came to Missouri in 1857, and received his theological education at Carondelet, near St. Louis, and at Cape Girardeau. He was ordained in 1860, and four years later he came to his present charge, where he has continued ever since. Father CLEARY is an estimable pastor, and is dearly beloved by all his members.
