William Thomas Jr. and Sarah (Dorsey) Shields .
William Thomas SHIELDS Jr. was born 10 April 1845. He was the son of William Thomas SHIELDS, Sr., and Sarah CRUME, who had moved to Lincoln Co., Missouri, from Spencer Co., Kentucky, in the early 1830s. Sarah CRUME SHIELD's parents, Johnathan CRUME and Jane KIRKHAM, accompanied them to Lincoln Co. William Thomas SHIELDS was a farmer. He died 11 Oct. 1918. He married Sarah Ann (DORSEY), daughter of Richard C. and LeeEllen (HILTON) DORSEY, on 27 Sep. 1866 in Lincoln Co., MO. Sarah was born 5 May 1846 in probably Hardin Co., KY. They are both buried in New Salem Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MO.
Their children were: Susan Elizabeth "Sudie" (SHIELDS) MAGRUDER, Kate (SHIELDS) LaRUE, Mahlon SHIELDS, James Andrew "Short" SHIELDS, Minnie L. (SHIELDS) TERRELL, Abram SHIELDS, Ivin SHIELDS, and Jeanet SHIELDS.
