John is buried at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, St. Paul, MO. John was baptized March 21,1924 almost 4 months before his death and is recorded at the Immaculate Conception Church as the son of George and Marie (nee Clay) Jameson. In his youthful days, John and his brother Green H. Jameson went west to California in search of gold, along with other family members. John returned empty handed, but I'm sure he had plenty of stories to tell about that adventure. His obituary records the fact of this journey as well.

John's father, George W. Jameson, was the son of Robert & Isabel (Mahan) Jameson. John's mother, Mary (Clay) Jameson, was the daughter of Abraham & Mary (Jones) Clay. Children of George & Mary (Clay) Jameson were: Allen Clay "Clay", Robert, Albert Gallatin, Thomas Mahan, George Walden, Paulina, Green Henry Clay and John J. ]
