W.M. Hill of Willow Springs, Howell County, MO, m. Maude Lander of Adles, Izard County, AR, in March 1889. License found in Fulton County, AR, 21 Dec. 1899. W.M. Hill had another brother, Joseph Shield Hill, m. Lela Nelson Pollock, 14 Oct., 1899. Second marriage for Joseph Shield Hill, first wife was Betty Fitzgerald. When she died, she left 3 small children. Any information on these people would be greatly appreciated. Joseph Shield Hill was my great-grandfather. Cannot find him before 1889 in Izard County, AR. I thought if I could find something on his brothers, it might help in discovering where Joseph Shield Hill was born and who his parents were. Sarah's parents were possible Samuel Foster, born about 1834, place unknown but maybe Tennessee and Sarah Cox, born unknown, place unknown. They were married 5 July 1865 in Newton County, MO. Jessie's father was William Thomas Howell and Martha Winn. William Thomas was married 7 times; born 22 July 1872; died 1 Dec. 1949. Jessie is a twin to Fred Howell, who died in 1976. MArtha Winn, born 13 March 1876 or 1896; died 24 April 1908. Joseph William Howell is William's father, born 9 April 1901 or 1900; married Susan Foster in MO. I am stuck here!! His first wife died then he married (2) Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Robesson/Robinson Garoutte, 13 May 1892 in howell County. She died 6 Sept. 1899. Their children were: Ellen Frances, married David Cook; and John Lafayette. Lafayette married (3) Rutha Jane Bailey, 6 J une 1900 in Carroll County, AR. Their children were: Alma Jun, married Harry Barton; Franklin Malcomb, married Blanche Lowry; Homer Lee, married Hazel McDowell; and Austin Robert, married Lillian Benton. I am looking for any information on the following family. John Wood (son of Henry William Wood) and Polly Ann Morrow (daughter of James M. Morrow) married in Ozark County, MO. When the county lines changed, they ended up in Howell County. They lived at Willow Springs in 1860. John was killed about 1863 by bushwhackers near Howard Springs.
