Georgia C. Clatterbuck, 92, of Omaha, Neb., died Tuesday, Feb. 7,
1995, at the Lindenwood Nursing Home in Omaha, Neb. She
grew up in the Auxvasse area. Funeral services will be held at 2
P.m. Friday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Jerry
Anderson officiating. Burial will be at the Callaway
Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fulton. Visitation will be Friday at
the funeral home from noon until time of the service. The family
suggests memorials be made to the Dry Fork Baptist Church of
Guthrie, where she was a lifelong member. Ms. Clatterbuck was
born Sept. 20, 1902, in West Plains, to Douglas and Annie
Messersmith Clatterbuck. She is survived by a sister,
Mrs. Jim, (Maybl) Bell, and brothers, Hubert, Lee and Harold
Clatterbuck, all of Omaha, Lyle Clatterbuck of Sioux City, Iowa,
Donald Clatterbuck of Stratford, Wis, and Dale Clatterbuck of
Lexington, Neb. She was preceded in death by sister,
Rowena; and a brother, Reid Clatterbuck. > Ms. Clatterbuck
taught school in Jefferson City prior to moving to Washington,
D.C.., to accept a government post with the Department of Defense
in 1942.
