Matt Green Cemetery, Grundy County, MO


This cemetery is located in Jefferson Township; S26-T60N-R23W. Cemetery is fenced, has a metal gate. Has been mowed once a year, at least. At gate is sign: "Anyone wishing to donate to help keep this cleaned up, contact Edwin Dockery, Trenton, MO, EL9-3351.". Three cedar trees in center of cemetery. It is known that the Matt Green home was located on road directly west of cemetery. Also told that he caught and kept rattlesnakes in a corn crib - selling them to a laboratory for venom or serum. Recorded 26 Sep 1963 by Mrs. Robert Redd.
