Griffin Cemetery, Grundy County, MO

This cemetery is in Washington Township; S21-T63N-R25W, on what is commonly known as the Guy Thompson farm. It is used now as an agricultural center for University of Missouri. The little unused cemetery is east of the house about 1/4 mile and is also about 1/4 mile south of the east-west road. The stones have been knocked over as mowing machines went through; stones have been covered with years' accumulation of grass and dirt. Some stones were native and soft; the hand-made inscriptions are long gone. Until such a time when a plow or some dirt-moving equipment is used, some stones will remain buried. The cemetery was recorded in 1964 by Mrs. B. F. Hoover.
