    Surnames: GANNAWAY ADKISSON LOWE
    Submitter: Penny Proctor Miller (Smiller@columbus.rr.com)
    Date: 23 Jan 1999

This is a re-post of a previous query. Looking for information on the GANNAWAY family that moved from Breckinridge and Hardin Co KY to Gentry Co MO. The first I know of is Martha Jane GANNAWAY and her husband ALAN ADKISSON who left KY in 1852 and moved first to Macon Co MO and then to Gentry Co. Their descendants have the surname PRATT and DUNCAN. Later, I believe Martha´s nephew, Horace W. GANNAWAY moved to McFall. It appears his wife was D´Etta Lowe (but I have that from a handwritten source that is difficult to read). Horace had a son, Marion, who died in 1934 in Chamberlain, SD but was probably buried in McFall. Would love to hear from any other GANNAWAY or related family researchers.

    Submitter: Janet (thefam@lcc.net)
    Date: 22 Jan 1999

    Hello everyone,
I am researching my BOGLE line. My interest today is in Jahial BOGLE, b. 1815 in Iredell Co, NC. He moved to Gentry Co, MO prior to 1855. He was married to Elsey Louisia (surname unknown). Information given to me by a distant cousin says that Jahial BOGLE moved to Missouri with his brother James J BOGLE, his sister Isabella BOGLE BRYSON, and Isabella´s husband Samuel BRYSON and that Jahial BOGLE was a judge in the BOGLE township.

I am interested in Elsey Louisia´s last name and the children of Jahial BOGLE and Elsey Louisia. I am also very interested in corresponding with all of my distant cousins. Thank You. Janet

    Surnames: WILLETT
    Submitter: Bob Long (sbear5360@aol.com)
    Date: 12 Jan 1999

My great grandmother´s brother immigrated from England in 1867/69 and settled near Stanberry in Gentry County. He lived there over fifty years and raised several children. His name is Joseph WILLETT. One son, Fred WILLETT operated a shoe shop/saddlery in Albany or Bethany. My great grandmother is Eliza WILLETT Roberts and she and her husband homesteaded in Texas. She immigrated in 1887. Their brother Frederick was Veterinary Surgeon appointed to HRH Queen Victoria. Fascinating new line as we did not know Eliza´s brother Joseph also immigrated. I grew up near Cameron MO. Small world.
Hope to hear from someone on this...
    Thank you: Bob Long
