Richard Harris Fowler was born March 24, 1815 in Madison Co., KY, and died June 30, 1901. Rachel (Harper) Fowler, daughter of Matthew Harper, was born Sept. 4, 1816, in KY, and died May 1, 1902.
They came to Dallas Co., MO in 1843 from Hart Co., KY, and owned the Fowler and Hurst Mill. Their Children were: Sarah Jane, William Harris, James Matthew "Jim", Mary Ann, Joseph Edward "Joe", Lewis Asbury, and Nancy Viola. Their final resting place is the Fowler-Hurst Cemetery in northeast Dallas, Co., MO.
