Periman, Clifford - August 19, 1915 - July 29, 2008.  Clifford Periman, age 92, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Twin Brooks South, San Benito, Texas. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Vansant- Mills Chapel in Clinton with burial in Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, Mo. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Tuesday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Chrippled Children's Hospital, Houston, Texas, and may be left at the funeral home. Fond memories may be left online at the website www.vansant- millsfuneralhome.com. Clifford was born in Vernon County, Mo. He was an operating engineer for Local 101, Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of the Park Grove Christian Church, Lowry City, Mo., the Lowry City Masonic Lodge, the Kansas City Scottish Rite Bodies, the Ararat Shrine and the Order of Eastern Star in Harlingen, Texas. He served as mayor pro-tem for the City of Deepwater for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Vivian Barton Periman; five brothers, Glen, Gordon, Basil, Russell and Cecil; his first wife, Jessie Lea Periman, and two daughters, Vivian Branstetter and Jane Church Southers. He is survived by his wife, Leah, of the home; one daughter, Ginger Bailey of Clinton; one brother, Everett Periman of Nevada, Mo.; seven grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
