NELSON, Elvis Edwin (1940-2008)
Funeral services for Elvis E. Nelson will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008
at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with
Pastor John Payne officiating. Visitation 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, February 18
followed by Masonic services. Burial in Mulberry Cemetery, Amoret, Missouri.

Building. Elvis Edwin Nelson, age 67 of Amsterdam, Missouri died Friday,
February 15, 2008 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
He was born May 25, 1940 to Thomas Edwin and Ellen Belle Crawford Nelson in
Jefferson, Iowa. Elvis is survived by his wife, Nora Ann Nelson of Amsterdam,
Missouri; four sons, Jeffrey E. Nelson and wife Stephanie of Butler, Missouri,
Mark E. Nelson and wife Tracy of Amoret, Missouri, John W. Nelson and wife Julie
of Nevada, Missouri and Daniel M. Nelson and wife Vanessa of LaCygne, Kansas; a
stepson, Robert F. Wensch and wife Monique of Lehigh Acres, Florida; two
sisters, Eleanor Karns and husband Ray of Fairbanks, Alaska and Elaine Zellmer
and husband David of Amsterdam, Missouri; ten grandchildren; and a host of other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Gregory
Alan Nelson who died in 1964.

OBITUARY - Evelyn Rose, only daughter of Willie and Rhoda Nelson was born May
17, 1913, departed this life, July 28, 1914, at the home of her parents, two
miles northeast Burdett. Sad indeed was that home when parents and friends saw
they must give little Evelyn up, everything was done to keep her here, but God
knows best. Funeral services at the Burdett church by Rev. Prevo Tuesday eve 4
p.m. Interment Burdette cemetery. Poem: Dear little joy and sunshine, Who
gladden our hearts with your smile.Your loving arms entwine us. The love light
of your eye still remain. But God called your sweet soul to return to the dear
golden home of your soul. We all hope to join you our little dove that has
flown.

Gertrude Alice Nelson 1913 - 2005 - Gertrude Alice Nelson, 92, Harrisonville,
MO, died Friday, October 28, 2005 at Camden Health Care Center, Harrisonville.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 6 at the Archie United Methodist
Church.
NELSON, William D. (1887 - 1918)

WM. D. NELSON DEAD- William D. Nelson, died at his home near Lee’s Summit, Mo.,
Sunday, December 8th, 1918; aged 81 years, 2 months and 3 days. Mr. Nelson was
born at Burdett October 5th, 1887, and grew to manhood there. He left here
several years ago. He was married and is survived by a wife and four children;
besides these his mother, four brothers and one sister survive. The body of Mr.
Nelson was brought to Adrian Tuesday and buried in the Burdett cemetery. Rev. W.
S. Hood conducted a brief funeral service at the grave. The relatives have the
sympathy of friends in this bereavement.
