LAFARGE, Fay Howard (1920 - 2006)

Mr. Fay Howard LaFarge, 86, of rural Fort Scott, Kan., passed away Monday, July
31, 2006, at his home. He was born April 17, 1920, in Bloomfield, Neb., the son
of Floyd Allen "Bud" and Ella L. Clark LaFarge. He married Edith L. Main, March
29, 1941, in Butler, Mo. Fay served in the U.S. Air Force from 1943-'46 in the
93rd Bombardment Squadron. He moved to Bourbon County, Kan., in 1957, from Linn
County, Kan., and has farmed all of his life. He was a member of Community
Christian Church, and of the V.F.W. He enjoyed his farm, hunting, and his
grandchildren. Fay is survived by his wife, Edith, of the home; a son, Duain
Lafarge of Fort Scott; two daughters, Mrs. Randy (Arita) McAllister of Fort
Scott, and Mrs. Mark (Karan) Headley of Reeds Spring, Mo.; a sister; Edna
Herring of Hume, Mo.; eight grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and five
great-grandsons. In addition to his parents, Fay was preceded in death by three
sisters, Dorothy Royer, Bonive Burrus, and Darlene Farrell; and two brothers,
Rupert LaFarge and Buddy LaFarge. The Rev. Kevin Moyers conducted funeral
services at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, at the Community Christian Church, Fort
Scott. Burial was at the Fort Scott National Cemetery. Military honors were
provided by the U.S. Air Force. Memorials may be made to the Community Christian
Church and left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall
Street, P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, KS 66701.

Rupert Franklin LaFarge 1917-2005 - Rupert Franklin LaFarge, age 88, of Bulter,
Missouri died Thursday, November 3, 2005 at his home in the presence of his
loving family. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the
Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel.
