JAMES, Shirley Ann Hannah (1937 - 2007)

Shirley Ann Hannah James, 4 August 1939 - 11 December 2007.
Shirley Ann (Hannah) James, 70, of Warsaw, Mo., died Tuesday December 11, 2007
at her home. She was born August 4, 1937 in Bates County, Mo., to Claud L.
Hannah and Annie Mae Moles Hannah. She married Ova F. James on January 26, 1976,
in Miami, Ok. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1997. Shirley had worked
in the restaurant business for the past 10 years. Among her life accomplishments
were her titles of Mom, Wife, Sister, Friend, and most importantly Grandma.
Shirley is and will always be a warrior. In addition to her husband, she was
preceded in death
by her parents and her brother, Russell Hannah. Shirley is survived by her two
daughters, Diane Cox of Independence, Mo., and Kathy Earl of Lake Annette,
Peculiar, Mo.; three sisters, Helen M. Earl of the home, Betty L. Gillis of
Adrian, Mo., and Mary L. Livingston and her husband Bob of Tightwad, Mo.; one
brother Donald R. Hannah and his wife Betty of Tightwad; her grandchildren,
Stephanie Renee Cox of Kingsville, Mo., Steven Douglas Cox, Jr., and his wife
Bethany of Blue Springs, Mo., Scott Allen Cox of Independence, Billy James, Jr.,
of St. Joseph, Mo., and Oda James of Kansas City, Mo.; great-grandchildren,
Garrett Allan Lindmark of Kansas City, Melissa Ann Jewell of Kingsville, Gunner
Steven Cox of Blue Springs, Melanie Renee Jewell of Kansas City, Cade Allen Cox
of Blue Springs, Damius and Dakota James of Kansas City, and Bryan Ova Cox Of
Independence; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00
a.m. Saturday December 15, 2007 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Bates County, Mo. The family will receive
friends Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., just prior to the service.
Friends may call Friday from Noon to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

October 3, 2005 at her home. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 6,
2005 at the United Methodist Church, Archie, MO, officiated by her husband, Rev.
Travis James.
